This voucher for discounts on bus tickets came in the mail today and made me so happy that I don't have a need for it!

Dear Fellow Bus Rider,
Eventhough you have ear buds in your ear, everyone else can still hear your horrible death metal music when it's coming out if said earbuds at such an unecessary volume. Have fun being deaf when you are 30.

Love,
Carey

I am terrified of over-filled balloons. Not just silly scared of them, but scared to the point where it effects me physically. They make my palms sweat, my heart beat faster, my stomach sick, etc. Especially when they are in the hands of a child, or even worse - a BABY! This one was on the bus today and its owner was a young-ish girl who kept pulling on it, making it hit the roof of the bus and even sometimes holding and squeezing it! Why do people fill balloons so full??? When the bottom of it bubbles out like this one, they are bound to pop at any moment!! It certainly made for a very uncomfortable bus ride...

Dear Bus, I hate you so much. Let me count the ways.

I hate that the people on you....
1 ....smell
2 ....have entire conversations via text message with the alert tone turned ALL the way up
3 ....laugh much louder than anyone genuinely does
4 ....are annoying college kids who act a fool
5 ....talk on their cell phones
6 ....touch me
7 ....put their bags on the seat next to them so other people cant sit there
8 ....make you stop every 5 seconds
9 ....cuss loudly in front of the elderly passengers
10 ....bring their enormous strollers to fit their billion kids

Highlight of today: my bus home from work was a double-decker! (not that you can tell from this photo...)

Three things I've learned about double-decker buses:
1. They hit trees and it makes a horrible screeching noise
2. There is no heating up top! (and it was freezing tonight)
3. On this particular one, there was only one stop button up top, so I had to walk to the front of the bus while it was moving to hit the button.

I'll stick with my regular bus, please.

This is on the ceiling of the bus I take to work... Tell me, how am I supposed to break the glass to get the hammer without the hammer?

11/365: Good 'ol Number 1 bus

Here's the inside of the brand new "Gold Line" buses roaming around Surrey, complete with leather seats, which was apparently their big selling point. I've mastered the route to Camberley town centre, but I have to admit I feel like I am doing a "walk of shame" of sorts when walking to or from a bus stop. Hopefully I wont have to rely on it for very long.

What I learned today: Running uphill sucks.
