To further celebrate David's birthday we went to a pub in Chelsea to watch the US v England World Cup game. It ended in a 1-1 tie er.. draw in soccer/football terms, which is probably best for all involved!

We braved the snow and ice tonight to go to the World Darts Championship in Frimley Green. As the announcer said, "darts is the only sport where the spectators are more fit than the competitors".

2/365: Technology is a Girl's Best Friend

A beautiful thing happened today... I got a new phone. She (yes, she is a she because she multi-tasks and always gets everything right) is and Xda Zest and is lovely. Frankly, making phone calls on her requires a few too many button pushes, but she can access Facebook and email quickly, so I love her.

On to the photo part of this photoblog:

I witnessed a cricket match today, and even was able to follow it, if you can believe it. The rules are quite similar to baseball with some major differences, but fairly easy to understand. This was clearly not a big professional game, but a small club in Tilford, which is a super cute town(village??) in Surrey not far from us.

What I learned today: cricket players dont wear uniforms and the pitcher guy is called a "bowler".
