I always thought these big things were water towers, until I noticed that they seem to rise and fall (somedays they are shorter than other days) Turns out, they hold gas instead of water. David says, you can tell its expected to get cold in the next few days when the tower is tall like it was today, since the expectation is that people will need to use more gas to heat their homes. Makes sense to me!

You know you are in a great country when bus stops are named after pubs near them. Here is the William IV pub in Camberley which is near the bus stop (also named William IV) where I get off to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 21/365: Something For Everyone
There are many tea and coffee shops in Camberley, but take a look at this one closely...see on the right - its "for the over 50s"! Who knew there was such a thing?? I looked up Age Concern since they seem to run the shop and its actually a charity for elderly people and this is just one of the programs they run. It's perfect considering that the Starbucks in Camberley is filled with annoying teenagers. I wonder if the over 50s would allow me to stop in for a coffee if I am on my best behaviour?

13/365: The High Street
This is Camberley High Street. Every town has what is refered to as a "high street". Sometimes it's a generic term for the main drag and sometimes is the offical name of the street, which is the case in Camberley.
As you can tell in the photo, its a bit of a rainy day, so I purchased this lovely umbrella, only to realize that I am not sure I really know HOW to use an umbrella. Is there a trick so it doesnt catch the wind and blow your arm off or turn inside out??
