13/365: The High Street

This is Camberley High Street. Every town has what is refered to as a "high street". Sometimes it's a generic term for the main drag and sometimes is the offical name of the street, which is the case in Camberley.
As you can tell in the photo, its a bit of a rainy day, so I purchased this lovely umbrella, only to realize that I am not sure I really know HOW to use an umbrella. Is there a trick so it doesnt catch the wind and blow your arm off or turn inside out??

  1. Tilt the umbrella slightly downwards in the front!

  2. Or buy a big heavy-duty golf umbrella. Keeps you dry and guards your personal space at the same time! Save the cute portable one for non-windy days. ;)
